Hi Mick,
Thanks for the input - when I get it set-up I might ask to borrow your watt-meter or perhaps I should purchase one ....I guess it it essential if you adopt electrics?
Regards,

Good luck with that, post if you have any issues with the set-up, do you have a watt-meter? I Have one if you want to borrow it as it is the best way to choose prop size.

Hi Mick,
Thanks for your reply the other day...I checked to-day and my old site was down...server maintenance or I've been kicked-out + I don't think Hacker-Model (Czech) still make the Scorpion. Any way got an inrunner (@2200 rpm/volt) and a speed controller and ordered a folding prop around 11X3.5 (instead of the 6X3) = Let's see what happens...A person at MRCC who bought another Scropion from me had ICARE sell him an inrunner + larger prop and the glider flew fast , high and flawlessly...
Regards and thanks,
Pierre Sarault - P.s.: the Scorpion is shown in one of my albums on this site, it weighs 2.06 lbs at this moment and is 68" in WS

Hi Pierre, glad to help but I cannot find your glider on the web, even deleting Hacker and/or Scorpion which I only recognise as motor manufacturers. Can you help by giving a better description or a link to where you found it. Once I have the specs. I can give some advise. I would also like to know just how much performance you want?

Hi Mick,
Nice to see you at Fun-Fly - I'm a member-in-waiting (supposed to have been processed) - I have a Hacker Scorpion 68" WS motor glider and it is terribly underpowered with a Speed 480 brush and a Graupner 6"X3" fording prop. It has been balanced according to Hacker but it is too tail heavy and litterally was sort of flying on its tail last friday...lucky = no damage just nerves - Would you suggest a different brushless/prop/controller combination - I'm clearly eclectic, not electric yet!
Once converted - this thing will obviously need to be set-up differently!
Your comments would be appreciated
