I think 4200 Sqrmeter is still too small compared to actual WIMAC....Might need 20000 to 30000 sqr meters

30000 sq. metres = 7.5 acres
A rough guess, are flying at WIMAC in an area of about 12 to 15 acres .
1200' x 600' = 16 acres approx.

It is small, about 200x200 feet. We keep looking.

I have heard that a way to re-zone farmland into non-farmland, in Quebec, is to allow the fields to grow over with trees and bushes. So if there is some old farm for sale that has been allowed to grow over fairly recently, so if the trees are still small, we could buy it, re-zone it, then clear the bushes and small trees. I have also heard that land with trees is also much lower price than land cleared for farming ... but it would cost us to clear trees, if we were even allowed to clear them.

Normally it will cost nothing to clear trees if you give it to the guy cutting them

Would be the lease from the gouvernment an option ? maybe less expensive that a buy. I have no ideea about land prices.
https://www.quebec.ca/en/homes-and-housing/lease-purchase-public-land/obtain-lot/lease-purchase-land#:~:text=Purchasing%20a%20lot,the%20applicatio n%20meets%20certain%20conditions.
From that page:
"The gouvernement does not keep a list or map of public lots available for lease, except for the vacation lots available each year by random draw. All public land leases are entered in the Register of the Domain of the State This hyperlink will open in a new window. (in French only). You may consult the interactive map free of charge to see the leases issued in a given area."

Good price, not too far from Montreal. Swampy land. Depends on a few things. Is there an area dry enough for us to instal ourselves and a runway? What are the town’s plans for the area around it? Is our activity permitted there? I am sure you noticed that there are several similar plots of land in the same region. If the plan is to start a housing development, we would not last long there.
I don’t know if it is time yet to contact the realtors who sell these places but we certainly should drive by some of them to have a look.

Ch. Edina is off the 327 route du nord. Not far from Carling Lake golf course.
Some skiers may remember it as Aires Ski hill. I would say about 1.5 hrs drive from the west island.
It can also be accessed from Hawksbury but the road is rough and a long slow drive.
Black flies. Black flies. Black flies.
Lets keep looking.

our current field is about 250mX250m : roughly 63 000 sq.m (around 15acres ) so yes what you are saying is very good estimate
