When I use my Drone Pilot Canada application, I get a warning when I start a new flight at WIMAC. The warning indicates a DJI maximum zone altitude of 150m. DJI is a well known drone brand.

I found out that it is related to the fact that WIMAC is just in the middle of takeoff/landing trajectories for Dorval runways 10 and 28 (see first screen snapshot with map in DJI mode as opposed to Transport Canada mode in the third screenshot.) WIMAC is located at the RED pin.

I was wondering about the actual use of these runways and found some statistics (see second screenshot). They indicate that these runways were last used in 2018.

Conclusion:

If you have a recent DJI drone with geofencing maps, by default you won't be able to fly at WIMAC above 150m which you are not supposed to do anyway.
Runways 10 and 28 have not been used recently (although I have no recent stats for 2022 and 2023)

Don't hesitate to correct me if I'm wrong. My own DJI drone is old and does not have these zone restrictions (geofencing).
