Is it advisable to use Velcro on all electric battery installations or only those that seem like they might move in flight?

Hi ...only those that seem like they might move in flight?...
Most fo the battrie-compartiment are bigger than the battrie, to allow the CG set-up. So once you set -up your CG you dont wont to move it in flight...
In some cases, you dont have the choice, la batterie est coincée dans le fuselage et ne bouge pas à cause d'autre équipements...pas besoin de velcro...

Thanks Mezri. I was trying to figure out why my Timber was so hard to fly the other day, but it could just as easily have been the gusty wind, or the pilot!, than the battery moving.

I suggest you keep things from moving around. You an use velcro, or evem some foam to shim things in place.

Here is a concrete example. Not only do you have to velcro it but attach it. I had Velcroed one of mine. and the battery still came loos. So velcro under the battery as well as put a strap or at least surround the battery with foam. Even stuffing the foam in is better than the battery coming lose. We pull some pretty heavy Gs in those little planes believe it or not.

Stephan, I agree, strap and velcro to be sure it will stay put
