Couldn't post this AM as hydro had cut power to work on the grid from 8AM to 1PM.

I owe a lot of thanks to a number of members for their serious concern this morning as I fell backwards off one of our sun baked chairs that broke. It propelled me into the edge of a table and did some serious damage to both my head and my pride. It got serious when we saw a lot of blood flowing from the back of my head. Thanks to Jean, Robert, Marcel, Andre, Meresi, and Richard Ottaway I survived to fly another day but not before I had a couple of stitches put in the back of my head along with a tetnus shot. So once again guys a truckload of thanks to all of you. I hope I didn't leave anyone out as my brain is still a little hazy.

This is a clear indication not to go to the field alone or fly alone. Let this be a lesson to all of us!

but I feel a bit guilty because this is not the first incident and I took a picture to expose the problem ...i forget do it ... now a second chair that did the same problem with some blood. ... it is necessary to throw them away because it is plastic at risk ...

Wow, hope you have a speedy recovery.
Perhaps we should inspect all the donated chairs to make sure they are seat worthy......... And toss the ones that are suspect.

Thanks Michael but I've had this happen before in my back yard using the same type of chairs minus the blood. I saw two doctor's before I got home and everything is fine now. I should be back out there tomorrow morning as the weather is supposed to be good. Again the guys were fantastic and it makes me proud to be a member of WIMAC! Thanks Kevin.

Hello Wayne!

Just saw on the website what happen to you! Feel bad that you got hurt! In the future, let me sit in the chair first! That way (and with my size/weight), you will be sure to get a quality control prior to using the chair.

Take care!

Thanks Paul. I would be careful choosing a chair to sit in if I were you. I only weigh 212 but you are a bit more than that so choose carefully. Things turned out OK and I was back flying this morning with some of the guys. My wife said she didn't think this hobby was dangerous...Ha! Ha!

Take Care, Wayne
