For those of you that subscribe to NETFLIX there is a series under the Documentary banner entitled "PLANE RESURRECTION". It is well worth watching......if you like airplanes that is!

Hey Richard,
I received the prop adapter for the Cub and everything works well. I am using a 4c 2200mah battery which works well when I use throttle cut it stops the prop however when I turn the DX-6 off all is stopped and then the prop starts up on idle by itself. I have to disconnect the battery in order to stop the prop. Any sugestions?

You should never have your batt. plug in when the RX is off it is very dangerous.
Always the sequence must be RX on then plug in the Lipo than after Lipo disconnected then RX off.
Oh Wayne just a suggestion you should name your threads not Bailey but the subject you want to discuss then we can tell which thread is in discussion.;)

Tks for the advice Kevin. I will do just that. As you can guess I'm new at this game so every little bit of advice helps.

I was like a sponge during my two first year's...asking, questioning and maybe bugging a bit sometime:rolleyes: But at the end, that's how you will increase your skill and knowledge too. So don't be shy :)

You should redo the binding procedure with the cut off on (motor off). That way, the receiver will take the dead motor as the fail safe position. Right now, the fail safe seems to be with the motor idling.
As Kevin mentioned, it's always better to turn on the transmitter before the plane and turn off the plane before the transmitter. The only exception would be when binding the receiver. That should be done with no prop on the plane to be safer. Actually, anytime you connect the motor battery inside the house, it's safer without prop.
The 2.4gz seems to be less affected by turning the plane on without the transmitter on first but it's still a better procedure. Turning the transmitter off to test the fail safe is necessary but it's safer without the prop. At least, be sure that the prop is clear and hold the plane in case the motor goes full throttle. Guess how I know that... :-)

Thanks to the members that gave me advice. I will certainly adhere to it. Can't wait to get the Cub into the air now that I have the proper battery with a new prop adapter. I'm tempted to put the ski's on but being an older fogie I don't like cold weather. Maybe soon as it hits well above zero!

The shelter is heated, come and enjoy the winter runways! :)
Plus, a mishap in the snow is more forgiving than a mishap on solid ground.
