Small break from my vertigo and between my yak to work on my late winter / spring foamie, I think it may be a bit large for the indoor, Pepsi for scale.
I am going to do a red bull paint scheme on it :)

Spent most of sunday sanding and sealing the foam to get it ready for paint.

The setup i chose is supposed to be great at 8s (2x5800mah 4s) packs, and is possibly ballistic at 9s (which is the max this setup can be run).
Will find out soon spinning a 24x12

Wow, big flat foam plane, nice. How about a APC prop instead of a wooden...

A 24x12 apc would weigh about 5lbs

Great paint job Chris! What kind of foam is it and what kind of paint did you use?

Painting was painful as any tape would peel off paint, it's polystyrene i believe high density.
I used Acrylic's golden and createx, still have to do the underside of the wings.

I suggest wide deep powder skis not to sink.

I'm hoping some of the regular guys have packed down the runway a bit :)

how did it fly?
ChrisPol

So 40km/h winds is not good for assembling a foamie of any size.
Would need to fly it on a half decent day but was nice and stable in the winds, only issue was the snow was really sticky and soft.
She had ok vertical, but not enough for my personal taste

Well just bit the bullet ordered some 6s batteries and a bigger charger, 12s with a 23x8 for about 4000watts seems to be the ticket with the selected motor.

Nice thing about electric ... just changing the prop and maybe the batteries can dial up the performance you want.

But at a cost, In no way can batteries compete with gas for power & economy
