The road condition is excellent
Thanks Mike for the info. I was a bit worried before I saw your post yesterday but finally decided to go the field. Yesterday afternoon was such a nice winter day to try my new GoPro.
In the winter, if members who go to the field could consistently post the road condition in the "Field Roll Call" forum under the current day thread that would be very useful.

Gilles-
What aircraft is your GoPro on? Assuming you are using it for FPV, any chance of posting your videos?
[QUOTE=GleM;49160]Thanks Mike for the info. I was a bit worried before I saw your post yesterday but finally decided to go the field. Yesterday afternoon was such a nice winter day to try my new GoPro.
Yesterday, I quickly configured and mounted it on my (old) hexacopter built using a DJI F550 Frame and retracts.
The camera was a gift and does not seem to be good for FPV. It is a GoPro Hero Session (square, waterproof, and very small) but it does not seem to have an analog output like other GoPros; I would need to do more research on that to confirm.
On this hexacopter, I was normally using a Mobius camera with a special video cable that plugs into the usb port of the camera.
Recorded video quality on the GoPro seems very good but there are several settings Wide or Medium Angle, Frame Rate, Resolution (even beyond full HD), etc. to choose from and I'm just starting experimenting with them.
I will upload videos later on once I have experimented with the settings and installed additional software to edit and process these very high-resolution videos.
