Been going thru my hangar and getting organized. Decided to dust off my SIG Kobra. Built in 1999 and it was my go-to plane for many years. Several years ago I was just short of the runway on landing and the long grass grabbed the main gear in the wing and ripped it off the plane. The small nylon bolts didn't give. I flew it on 72MHz so I put in a 2.4GHz receiver and installed the engine. Radio setup complete. Wing repair started. Just waiting for the epoxy to dry. Tomorrow I'll sheet the small area and cover. Already reinstalled the wing bolt block in the fuse. Then I'll double check the balance. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/07/0d6bf9d5089b8314c39ec5c1cab70369.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/07/42c5d314c130af52ec5a114208af54ce.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/07/ab1d5c1cee5ce76223bfd86994bbac9d.jpg

Snoopy has been around a very long time. He was in my first Kobra until I totalled it by applying wrong rudder in knife edge above the trees. He survived the crash. Built another one and all was good until his neck snapped. His head used to slam around in the canopy. I finally removed the canopy and reattached his head. Poor Snoopy! ;)
