I had a premature landing with the Sbach. Some call it a stall but I'm still in denial.

Bend back muffler slowly so it won't crack.
Perhaps heat it up while bending back.

As Micheal said heat it up while in a vise and insert the largest screw driver you can get in and unbend very slowly(make sure the bottom of the pipe is supported so it won't break off the canister). Once in the proper position you might have to bang it to get the tube un-flattened so to not have any restriction.

You have to bring out the smith(forger) in you;)

I had to bend the pipe before I could remove the canister its a tight fit. Just pulled gently by hand. I'm surprised at how soft the metal is, it just went back to it's original shape. I'm very happy, one less problem the think about.:)

Great job Hans;), ...no need the Vulcan's forge or Thor's hammer to fix a kinked pipe...

Thanks guys. Only a couple of things to replace not so bad. I have to make a new plate for the landing gear and replace the two aluminum brackets. Had to remove some sheeting to get to the bolts for the brackets. Every thing else looks good.:)

Reinforce the area with some light plywood.

Hans you can find those Alum. angle at Rona, pretty cheap for a long piece.

Thank Kevin I found them, they are a little thicker then the originals. Made the ply plate and installed it, the old one was two pieces laminated together the new one is one piece much stronger, with the thicker aluminum it should be good, the new parts weigh 29 gr. more then the originals. Now I'm looking for a 24-8 prop ted's can't get them, any ideas as to where I can get one locally or is someone making an order from thunderbolt hobby's maybe we can combine the order, don't want to buy 2 props to get the free shipping. My da-60 came today so time to work on that in stead, but before that I have to start on my wife's birthday cake only to week left.

Thanks Kevin that will be great. Yes they are the same and it will give me a chance to see if I like it.

MY wife's birthday cake is finished and I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Now time to get back to my planes I started to reinstall the da 60 in the edge and tomorrow I will reattach the header and connect throttle servo. I hope next weekend will be nice.

Made them with a mix of fondant and gumpaste it's a sugar base putty that dries very fast you can put color before or paint it after it's dry.

Thanks Kevin but not yet it' my first try with gumpaste and I still need some practice. No time for 2 dozen need to get back to flying/ repairing :D The edge is ready to go:D:D:D I was checking the super sportster and the canopy popped off:( good thing it was not in the air at the time. Glued it back on and noticed it is a little bit warped it must be getting really hot in the sun , I must remember to put the towel on. Finally I can get back to the sbach.

Nice job, but sounds like an epoxy mix we repair our planes with. :D

Let's hope I don't start to use it when I make my cakes:D
My header blew out on my forth flight with the edge:mad: So had to order another one:mad: After talking with Michel it seems my canister mount is to loose so I had to make some changed to it. After seeing what Michel did to his this is what I came up with for the Sbach and the Edge, I used some fuel tubing and cut it on one side then passed it through the larger tubes and on to the mount, it's a nice snug fit now.
