Ok it's time for another project(short this one;)) to be put on the table.
Tonight I dusted off the Extra and I installed the RX. I used a 7ch as the 8ch is in the Bigfoot and I can manage with only 7ch since there is no flap on this one. The 8ch has high speed servo but even reg speed is plenty fast for me.
I will be changing the aging(probably 10 years old?) A123 batt for 2s Lipos. Also for the EI I will use a 2s lipo with a voltage regulator. I will be trying a 23x8 prop instead of the 24x8.

Did a bit of work tonight. Cleaned up the wiring for the EI. Installed the voltage regulator and made an adapter from XT60 to male servo connector for the lipo. Before the battery was located on the engine box now I will put it next to the powerboard.

Tonight I installed the Dean connector with leads from the old A123 onto the new Lipo. I will need the long lead because I will have to charge them in the plane. You see the lipo next to the rudder servo it will have to go underneath like the A123 where otherwise it would block the servo arm. So to be able to reach I had to remove the bridge in the back, I will put it back after.

So in the cooler basement tonight I installed the 2 Lipos for the RX under the deck. Also the Lipo for the EI and put back the bridge. If the W-E is nice will most probably get to fly it then:)
