Any suggestions for a good indoor plane that I can fly pattern style aerobatics with but also not too delicate and easy to brake ... or is this an impossible combination?

Well Dwight for it not to brake, whatever it is, you would have to 1st fly alone, 2nd not take any chances no 3d, so just keep some glue handy;)

The Click evo form Icare is a very good plane for pattern or the Symmetric, like mine.

I'm sure Xavier will have more suggestions.

I agree with Kevin except for a small difference: Clik NG :-)

It looks very similar to the Evo but is made of EPP. It takes normal CA which is nice I think and it's almost unbreakable.

It is available form Icare and Distribution aux Modeliste for just under 100$ with the taxes.

I have only fly mine in the house but I am confident. I should try it in the gym this Friday in Laval.

If you get really crazy about indoor, get one of these motor. I did :-)
13g with the props, for airplanes up to 90g. Run on 2S120mhA.

Everybody know that Kevin :-)

It's a contrarotative system Richard. They turn in opposite direction and there is no torque at all on the plane. The props are 11'' so a lot of air go over the wing and tail. It flies slow but stable.

Good choice, with the air-traffic increasing...smaller crafts should help;)

You are talking about this one I suppose: http://www.horizonhobby.com/bind-n-fly/umx-as3xtra%E2%84%A2-bnf-basic-with-as3x%C2%AE-technology-eflu5150
Mine has more than 80 flights and I still like it.

The red one is not available anymore.

If there is more traffic, the speed should go down, so the airplanes should actually be bigger...

Michel (at distribution aux modélistes) is getting ready to order some more Clik 4 and other kits from RC-Factory. If you want something, talk to him.

I really like the new Clik. Some of you have seen it last Friday. The EPP will make it last a lot longer than Depron and it flies as well as the Depron version. At 100$ plus the electronic (50-100$ depending where you take it), it's a good deal I think.

I have just received my clik ng from Icare. Which prop are you using Xavier, and where do you buy them?

Xavier

It depend a lot of the motor you use Dwight.
AXI 2203/53 I really liked the PT Model carbon prop 8x3.8 but it is so powerful that it's almost difficult to fly indoor :-)
Eflite park 250 I like the GWS 7x3.5. Larger prop make the motor really warm because of its high KV.
Turnigy 2204-14T, the GWS 8x4.3 is good.
All this is for a plane around 120-160g.

GWS props are available in all hobbyshops I believe. I got the PT model prop at Distribution aux modélistes.

note: Remember that we can't use carbon props or blades at Wimac indoors.

My new competition airplane had its first flight today in Granby. Still missing the brakes and final location of battery. 5 flights to check that nothing is falling off and try different CG locations. More flying next weekend.
