Good day all. I am a new member and am a new ( attempting to be ) pilot. I have an E-flite Apprentice with SAFE system as my first model. I have flown it with varying levels of success, mostly resulting in improving my mechanics skills. I am a member of the American Association ( AMA ) and as well a member with the West Palm Beach Radio Controlled club in Delray Beach, Florida. Do I need to join the Canadian version of AMA? I was under the impression this was a world wide organization. As well do you have an instructor program at WIMAC where I could hookup with someone for some instruction etc?
Many thanks

Hi, Welcome to Club WIMAC,
AMA is no problem and yes we do have a wings program.
Drop by the field on any weekend when the weather is good and I'm sure one will be there.
You can post on the Field Roll call and ask if one will be there.
What type of transmitter do have?
Do have a buddy box cable for it?

I have 2 Spectrum radios a 5 & 6. I have a buddy cable as well. I also have 20 receivers for the plane, one is the original with SAFE system and the other is a straight multi channel unit. Apparently there were some issues using the buddy cable with the SAFE system and as well the instructors in Florida wanted folks to learn without the aid of software aids.

I would like to make the point that you are a new member of our Web site but not a member of WIMAC. To fly at our club and receive instruction you need to be a Club member.
