The important part is the controller. If you go to the forums of the KK 2.1 there are various comments. No GPS but that is not necessary for flying close.
Price seems OK>

try taking parts separately on HK, same stuff, apart...and see the same thing is cheaper...
if you want to get good words from a good adviser - Call Claude Dion!
maybe he has one to sell, last time I spoke to him, he proposed selling his stuffs, new in box...because he wanted to help me and he had many.
He's very precise on quad builds and flying.
Good luck Marc.

I have dealt with another HK company known as Helipal and they are good. Rc-timer is another and Helidirect in the states is another. If you haven't ordered yet look at these sites. GPS is certainly a great feature and NAZA by DJI make several types and even one for helicopters too. Naza will enable auto return and landing so you should not suffer stability problems or ever lose your craft, but as ever, more sophistication means more money.

You get what you pay for. Cheap copies are not always reliable. Ask any professional. Enough said.

I'm no expert to help but I got my conclusion from my heli thread question, i prefer to buy a quad rather than a heli as a start.
Yet, I will wait till September to make a decision.
This is what I am planning to buy,

I have the kk blackboard v5.5 which I bought at 10 usd (free shipping) and propellers, so I'll go for this one:

Cheap things are good deal for beginners. I'll post a thread latter concerning my quad build; you''ll be amazed by the outcome. I need to put trims and make a video. I should have used a 1000kv motor (like in the threads above) instead of a 2840kv which uses a lot of power and small propellers but it is flying good and fast for 4 mins of flight.
I've looked at reviews and the only thing I could update is going for the kk 2.0 board from HK. It's worth a try.
Good luck:)
