Hi Guys
As discussed, I want to buy a cheap 450.
Is that a good choice, if not, please advise/ propose one for me.
I have radio, receiver, battery and 9g servos.

Thanks for your concern..

The heli is only a metal upgrade kit not the whole chopper?

I found at the bottom, package content, ARF kit.
I believe its the whole thing without electronics.

Make sure you can buy spare parts, it doesn't take much to either brake the tail or the head. That's the issue I had with my 450.

yeah, this is the first thing I checked, the parts for this one is available from many sellers, and i believe it's far from being out of production.

The only help I need is to know , if it's good price or not?

I don't have experience with buying heli.

If you don't care spending time with the heli and fiddling with it often, then it's fine.
You WILL crash !
It's a fact. The cheaper kits like this are poorly made in quality so as soon as you have your first mishap, it will definitely give you trouble repairing it, meaning you might have to change more than the parts that look damaged from a first look in order to get it back to flying condition.
Parts will get lose faster, wear down faster, bend easier, and not last as long.

Having said that, it will do the job, but you probably have to spend more time on it than if you had a better quality heli in your hands, which is why I said what I said in the beginning.

You always get what you pay for.

It might get you started with hovering and maybe some forward flight, but do not expect anything more serious with that quality of parts and electronics you plan on using.

But then again, if you want to venture into helis without spending much, it is the way to go, it will just require more effort and time.

Have fun.

Also, smaller=harder !

And lastly, yes it's a good price. how cheap can we expect those things nowadays ?
You should see what it cost back when I started !!;)
You needed over 1k to put a 450 on the air, just the heli !

There is a 2nd hand Align 550 for sale at Ted's Hobbies with flybar and everything needed stock except maybe an Rx and it looks in good condition with what I suspect has had some replacement parts as some of the gear is version 2 and the canopy is a fusuno and in green which is not stock. Teds is at the Pointe Claire shopping centre and the asking price is 500$ and there might be negotiating room. The 550 is 100 times better than the 450.
