I looked on the internet and found no info. I am searching to know wich prop is better for my .46 engine. A 12 x 6 plastic prop, or my good lookin' 11 x 10 wooden prop I just got. I read that different props are better in different categories. Alsow, what does th second digit mean? Oh yeah, its for my trainer. THX!

10x6, 10x7, 11x6, 11x7, will work well, plastic or wood. I haven't used 11x10 but I think the pitch(10) is high for an average .46 glow engine, causing it to run slower and with more resistance than it's designed for. The motor will spin a bit faster with the smaller sizes. Purists like wood because it is stiffer but chances are you'll never notice a difference in flight. Wood is more fragile- the prop will break if it hits a blade of grass. Props in this size are not expensive and you will break them. Why not buy a few different ones and find out for yourself. If you imagine the propeller as a screw, the second number is the pitch, the distance in inches that the propeller would move forward in one revolution.

Ok, yeah, I will finally go with the 12 x 6 , and the 11 x 10 does not fit the spiner. I made the 12 x 6 run last summer and it ran fine. And yeah, I have about 5 props that I got in the kid

What is your engine .46
Is it a Os .46 Ax La. Fx ?
I used a 11 x 7 for my OS .46 Ax
Master Airscrew, it's nylon and stand some prop strikes without breaking.

My engine is a thunder tiger abc pro .46 and the prop is a tornado 12-6. You think the engine can take the prop with no problems?

11 x 7 would be the correct size for a .46

Since it's a trainer I think a 12 x 6 is a good start, gives you enough speed and good braking when coming in to land. Later on if you want more speed you can go with the 11 x 7.
