As if I didn't have enough foamie, my friend Gaston in Hammer send me one of the first kits of his new Arrow F3P. It is an evolution of the Axis I got last year and that was in the video in the church that I posted last week ( http://www.wimac.ca/forum/showthread.php?p=40407#post40407 )

The instruction manual is available:
http://www.foamstarmodels.com/downloads.php

An interesting point of the plane is that it is made of a foam called MPF and it is more resistant to 'incidents' than depron. It is still light and white. The kit is also available in blue foam but I prefer the MPF.

I plan to work on it today and Monday night. If everything goes well, it will fly Tuesday night. At least, I will bring the second kit I have if someone want to have a look.

I started by adding some colors. Could you guess the name of the plane ? :-)

There could be two of these planes flying on Tuesday evening :-)

I am very happy with the first few flights tonight. As they say, it only needed 1 or 2 clik on the trim. No mixes for now and no change on the CG.
My pull-pull on the rudder and elevator didn't stay tight so I will have to improve them.

I know...only a alien with four hands could make them tie and strong and with a drop of CA at the right moment:D, That's why I do all my system with cf rod

I was thinking to doubling the air brakes size, is it a good idea or it will play with the plane characteristic as increasing the stalling point...

The brakes are more for downlines even if they have an effect of slowing down the top speed also. The side effect is that every clic on the throttle make a smaller speed change which is a good thing also.
Make them light so the ailerons are not deformed by the weight when you move the ailerons quickly.

Well:o...I'm back in my labs for a full review of my EP set up... on my Arrow. I don't fell to invest and waite for new HK 3.5g servo, so I just tag ''heavy load'' on my model:D

Finally got my computer to let me put a video of my Arrow together:

2014-02-02-arrow-foamie - YouTube

Most of the video was taken with a small HK camera taped to the antenna of my transmitter. The other bit was with the same camera on very small tripod.

I hope you enjoy the video :-)
