E-flite mtr. oscilates.
I have a Futaba radio & reciever, an E-flite 10 Amp ESP & E-flite mtr. (250 & a 280) in a new aircraft setup.
All other functions (rudder, elivator, ailerons) work perfectly except the throttle. When in throttle 1 it seems to oscilate a few times an then rotate in the correct direction. In higher throttle positions it seems to oscilate with a screeching noise as if the motor polarity is being continuiously reversed.
I have changed out all of the components,1 at a time, but the problem persists.
Has anyone successfully solve this problem?

I have had problems with E-flite ESCs. The programming is hell (via the radio) My problem was that it detected low voltage and it was cutting out continuously. That was probably due to some inadvertent changes in the programming I made but was never able to reverse it. Finally I put it away and never used it again. I don't know if this is your problem but is the extent of my knowledge about those ESCs. The motors are very good.
Check that no magnet is loose inside the motor.

Hi-diddly-ho Mr. Willoughby:), The E-Flite 10 amp esc need to be configurate separately depending if you use a 2s or a 3s.

Here , Download the manual and pay attention to the Futaba throttle reverse signal tip. http://www.horizonhobby.com/products/10-amp-pro-brushless-esc-EFLA1010#t6

Thanks Albert & Richard for your help.
I've tried 2 different mtrs. 2 different ESCs, the throttle lead in the rudder reciever slot that I know works for the rudder, 3 cell, 2 cell batteries & allways the same screachy mtr. responce.
I'm beginning to think I have $300.00 worth of junk.

Are they both E-Flite 10 amp esc...I am sure the trouble came from the ESC. I have the same problem 2 year's ago with their 10amp ESC and Ted's owner help me to fix the cell programing for 3s or 2s, no auto cell detection in the 10 amp... Bring the ESC to Ted's , he will do the programing for you Ron:)

Thanks Richard,
I've programed my ESC for 2 & than for 3 cell batteries. I think I did that correctly but the problem persists. I went to Teds & bought a new ESC, the problem is still there. Pete did say bring the Airplane to the store, after Chistmas, & he will try to find a solution.

Last one , are you using the same model channel from last year in the TX for your indoor plane. If yes, try a new slot in the TX and bind the RX with the EP set up again:)

Thanks Again Richard,
I was using the same transmitter slot as last year. I changed slots, relinked the transmitter & reciever, the result was the same screechy result.
Every component seems to checkout OK, they just will not work together!

Thanks Richard for the offer of a 10 AMP. ESC.
I think I've had a brake through.
When the initial setup didn't work, last years mtr. that had been banged around, was suspect and replaced with a brand-new mtr. The problem persisted & hence the ESC was suspect, followed by suspecting every electronic component from the transmitter to the mtr. & all of the testing & requalifying did not slove the problem.
The old mtr. could be bad, but not the brand-new mtr., or could it be?
I tried a 3rd mtr with the original setup & it works!!!!!
I'll see Peter at Teds after Christmas & see you all at the gym. :D
MERRY CHRISMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL YOU FLIGHERS
RON
