Xmas came early and I have a Spektrum module with a 7 channel 2.4GHz receiver to play around with.

Any suggestions on installation?

Start making frequency pins, you will need a pin for everyfrequency. That should give you something to do.

Jeffrey, that Stearman was bought maybe 3 years ago.
It flew last season. I am still getting used to it "visually" when in the air so my flights are pretty much vanilla flavoured.
Take off... OK I didn't crash...go around.... circles.... attempt to land.... OK, no crash...just sweating!

Bob: how do you know which frquency pin to hang? What about FASST radios, that change freqs. every few microseconds... he will have to be very FASST on his feet to keep up!
I propose that when Ronald is in the air all other fliers stand down. He will be very popular at WIMAC in no time! Come to think of it, when Ronald is in the ait ALL OTHER FLIERS STAND DOWN! I wonder why....

Oh my god! What a boring winter!

As he will be running back and forth between the board and the pilot station, every few seconds, he will be so exausted, that after one flight, he will fall asleep on the picnic table. Also, he has to realize, that doing that, the running, back and forth, will wear out his shoes, which he cannot put as an expense towards WIMAC. I suggest he gets steel taps, for the toes and the heals. Another advantage to that, for us, is that when we get bored, Ron can do a tap dance for us.

Now this is just silly you guys, just go out and shovel again!

Kevin
P.s. If we had just started the indoor sooner like I suggested we would stay sain?

...yes, but... the steel taps in his shoes may produce radio interference while running... in the GHz region....

Of course is silly... boring stiff winter!
Kevin: did you finish your Harvard or are still trying to decide which end to put the engine?
I guess you have a slow night at HVille....

Well I have been busy. I modified my Funtana X50 with Hitec servos 5925 all around, man are these servos fast. I replaced the CA hinges with hinge pins on the tail for greater deflection, check out that elevator.
And I got the JR 9303 2.4Ghz radio and installed it inside. And last I got the skies on. So I am just waiting for the snow to stop!!
So I can get in the air.

I hope the snow lets up for this week-end.
Later
Michael
P.S I also got a flat-out so if it doesn't let up I have a back-up plan :)

Note to Ronald : Do NOT colapse on the steel tables, as they may not stand up to it. Stick to the pic-nic tables, like Albert said.

Idea : Write all the frequency on a disk, and just spin it like on "wheel of fortune" before you take off...That way you won't have to run, and all the other flyers will be too busy to fly because they'll all be watching the wheel, clapping their hands and yelling "5000!!! -5000!!!"....With a good spin you should be good for 2 to 3 minutes of flying time...

Video : What happens when we can't fly for too long...:wacky: :wacky:
