From this link. (http://www.ebay.com/gds/What-about-PULSEJET-engines-for-aeromodels-/10000000002108447/g.html)
The pulse cycle is typically between 100 and 200 cycles per second, and the result is a very noisy operation that quickly makes the combustion chamber tube red hot. The sound of even a small pulsejet engine is remarkable and quite intolerable, far exceeding 130 dB levels. Pulsejet-powered models are quite unwelcome in many places, for obvious reasons.
Maybe not the best approach to keeping our neighbors (or our fellow club members flying electric) happy!

Thank you Gilbert.... Not a very safe project. Pulse jets have no throttle control, they just go full power (quite a lot) until it runs out of gas. Then... if you are lucky.... you bring it back or it lands in some unwanted place (red hot tubes and all...)

A flying V1 is the best description for this engine.
Actually this was the type of engine used in the regretably famous nazi "flying bomb".l
I owned several of these engines, sold under the name DYNAJET, and I even fabricated a few.
There are deafening noisy, the throttle range is full steam or stop and they run yellow-red hot!!
They are usually started by bowing a shot of air with a bycicle pump and they must be launched right after starting it, otherwise with a very lean mixture the tail pipe will melt and burst open!
They will start a fire just in contact with dry grass or bushes, even if the gasoline tank does not burst on impact.
Definitely not an acceptable engine in our club, as it is not in most of the other clubs, except may be in the Mohave dessert.
