I used to love that show, especially when Harvey Korman would crack up watching Tim Conway. The sketch is a good one- It is a little jarring today to see how casual smoking was back in the day. Times change, not always for the better. As a non-smoker, I can't disagree with the anti smoking movement but I do think we may have lost a bit of civilization in the process.

The same way you borrow anything. You smoke it then give it back.

When I was a kid, watching Caroll Burnett was a religion in our family.

Gone with the wind was hilarious. Priceless when Carol as Scarlet entered wearing the curtains as a dress with the curtain rod across her shoulders. Tim Conway dentist and every other "old man" character he did was also great.
My all-time favourite actor was James Stewart who was a frequent guest on the show. He was a great storyteller and Carol idolized him. By the way, James Stewart as well as his buddy, Henry Fonda, were both model airplane enthusiasts.

Yes I remember Jane Fonda mentionning that they would sit quietly and build their models together. Also James Steward was a full scale pilot and in WWII flew bombing missions.

On of the best of Carole Burnett is the Southern family specially when Tim tells the story of the Siamese twins elephant..well you just watch it on you tube.:D:D:D
