Hi Kevin,
I hadn't seen your post, now I see the lightweight airframe(s) require a lot of TLC and the repairs must be very demanding if you don't want to add weight at the wrong place!
Hope it all goes well!

Yes it is light so you might see I added two plate of thin aircraft grade ply at the top the rest is regular ply which is just for the shape. I did add ply splice(you can't see) behind the middle part. Did some covering today.

Well I put up the silver stripe on he canopy hope it's going to stick, the original had paint. Took a lot of sanding to get it to fit right. Now got to transfer my dash and pilot.

Still was looking for a replacement antenna for my Futaba receiver. Since July 6th no answer from Futaba. GH just told me to get it from Futaba so sent another email to Futaba.
But decided to look for that web site that I saw it in stock the other day. It was Ron's heliproz South, so I sent an email tonight and Ron answer me not long after so I decided to order. So it was 8.04 ea and around 20$ shipping(they invoice actual shipping). I ordered 2 just in case.
Also I painted the inside of the Canopy floor and top of dash.
I'm a little disappointed in the lack of service from Futaba:(

Well got another email from GH stating that for the antenna I have to deal directly with Futaba. My email at Support@futaba never got answered but just got one from Hobbyservice@futaba giving me that part # and shipping 9.99$ but that I can special order from my local HS humm?
But the part # isn't the same as the one I ordered from Heliproz South, so had to ask them it look the same and the same length, we'll see.

My antenna that I ordered is the right part, the # Futaba gave me first was the old #.
Completed the new Canopy and fiberglass the interior of the cracked Cowling with .5 oz and epoxy(30min) mixed with a bit of alcohol.

Did some work yesterday and tonight. Made a new bracket for the muffler support, it's a little thicker material then the one from Bisson but maybe it will not cracked as easily. I fixed the wings there was very minor monokote damage and the little bump on the leading edge that I saw after the crash sort of fixed itself. I guess the balsa just went back in place with the humidity we had. I also painted the cracks on the cowl as good as I could.
Now just have to reinstall the electronics and receiver(when I get my new antenna)

Well got my antenna yesterday so I put it back in the receiver and tonight I reinstalled the electronics. Just have to put back the cowl and prop and it's ready to fly again.:)

Kevin,
Excellent!
And by the way, the muffler strap is a good idea.
Looks sharp!
Congratulations,

Just got my order today and I was very impressed with my new spinner. It's from Xoar it's 3.5" and it's 25$. It's already polished(Michel's grinning) and it's got a lighten back plate and it's cheaper than Dave Brown(42$) and TruTurn(52$) which are not polished. Also got my panel line tape and fiberglass cloth 10 yards for 32$ compare to Hangar 9 at 9$ a yard.

Combination of Wheel cut off, Dremel with a grinder stone and a hand file. I first did a cardboard template then went from there.

I noticed and commented on the classified ad. Looks a great opportunity for someone. The lucky buyer will find himself with a great looking aircraft that will probably be the best flyer he has ever owned. If I could get it to where I live, I would have bought it by now.
