Installing a new ESC in my ICON A5 after burning it out last Monday after getting some water in the fuse.

Use some silicone with a pièces of foam to block the motor intake in the front, and use some too at the ESC wire jontion and around the canopy

If I block the intake won't the motor overheat?
Or is the intake just for show. (aesthetics)

For show...The motor on the Icon never over heat, only the...30amp ESC. That wy I change for a HK 40Amp with few silicone at each tips. that should stop future water infiltration in the ESC

The only good thing about the rain is my to do list getting cleared.
Ad 3 crashed planes waiting.
Also adding seperate BEC on my Revolver 70 before I have the same incident as my poor Super Cub.

One wet weekend, I finished the wing repair on the e-Flite trainer (AC met tree, last year :eek:); just looking for some small scraps pieces of covering red (X3) and blue (X1), see “Want Ad” for sizes.
Does anyone have end of rolls I could purchase :confused:

Nice job, I have Red White and Blue Ultracote, I think my blue is darker it was for my Extra. Check the pictures see if they match.
