Knowing I would not be able to attend yesterday’s indoor session for reasons beyond my control I tried to find why there was apparently no indoor simulations on the RealFlight 6.5 simulator. After a lot of digging I found that it does indeed exist. This may be old news to many but Knife Edge software has a number of indoor scenes on its website including gyms and a number of indoor planes which you can download for free and easily install in RealFlight. I downloaded the simulations for a couple of gyms and for the 2 indoor planes I have….the ParkZone Vapor and the HobbyZone Champ.
For planes and scenarios:

for installation instructions…. in The FAQ.
I found the simulations to be pretty good. The walls and basketball backboards attract my planes exactly the same way as the real thing….can even add a (very) gentle breeze to simulate the A/C!
