Hi guys here are some pics of my little Spirit :)
I'm sure this baby could fly with some help, other wise will throw it down the Jack Cartier and then will see it fly for a wile. At least on the way down :)
Don't know the weight yet !!!
Thanks

Eladio isn't the weight mentioned on the plan? Why the carbon rods? These Guillow planes were made to be flown with rubber band power so they can fly as is; the electronic we have today are very light so the frame should have taken it.
What covering are you going to use?

Hi Kevin !
No weight mention on the plan ,only the weight and history of real one !
One of our members, Patrick made a similar Model and he told that it will out stand more hits and crashes. This one can be 0.049 gas or rubber powered free flight ,but i decided would like it electric. here is the kit http://www.guillow.com/spiritofstlouis.aspx
Maybe you know the weight.
Hey Kevin did you see episode Ice Pilots wen they put the skis on the DC-3 ?
Very interesting,i love it :)

Yes and for those who remember Stan (who can forget him) he flew most anything but he showed me some slides of his travels and he flew a DC3 on skis. And what about this:eek:

Amazing pilot !
And Ice Pilots complain being nose heavy on skis , imagine how well balance must be with floats, lots of drag !
Thanks Kevin !, nice Clip :)
This guys have fun !!!
