I am presently assembling a new plane. EP Pitts 42 from HK.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__8785__EP_Pitts_42_inch_Electric_ARF.html

Got the 35-42 motor for it.

Some specifications call for 3S Lipo with a 40A ESC
And others including the manual that came with the plane (yes it happens)call for 4S Lipo with a 60A ESC.

I have both scenarios available.

Any recommandations???

Nice plane. Always go with the mostest so you can use it in bigger and bigger planes. Besides, having more power, Scotty, is always good.

J'irais avec le .42 avec le 60 esc sur 4 cell. Mais je ne me servirerais pas de la plus grose hélice que le .42 peut tourner mais plutot celle du .32 afin de réduire le torque de propultion sur ton model au décolage:)

Merci
Je vais opter pour le 60A

wow Nice Biplane:cool:

Plus de voltage = moins d'amp nécessaire donc plus vite à charger, plus petit cablage, plus petit ESC mais il faut le moteur en conséquence.

3S 2200 = 4S 1500

I was looking at that plane last fall, there is good information on the hobbyking forum. 4s was the best option. It has good flight reports.:)

Thanks Hans

I bought this plane because HK stated 3S and I have about 12 of them.
I will try with 3S and experiment with different props.
If I don't get anough power, I will go 4S.

Have you seen this review. I think it tends to be tail heavy, maybe mounting the rudder servo mid fuselage will help.

That is a good review.
I did some power testing myself and finally will go with 4S. With the 3S it is a bit underpower.
The quality if fare away from what we get with Eflite or Great Planes kit.
Some hardware missing and some rework to be done because the wings don't really fit that well one over the other. Also changed the linkage between the two wings.
So overall there is only $25 saving when compared to the the Rhapsody 25e from Eflite... Next timw:rolleyes:
