We were at the beach this morning to test an Icon A5

This is a small video clip of my friend Jean's Icon A5 crash on its maiden flight.
We are not shure yet of what cause the left roll on take-off but we suspect the right aileron servo .
Since there was very little damage a new receiver will be install first and will check for servo glitches again.

I think he flipped on a rock as the canopy only got ding.

My Airboat did a good job :D

Nice one Paul.

Do you have a water rudder installed on your rescue boat?

Nice one Paul.

Do you a water rudder installed on your rescue boat?

Yes I had to make a small rudder extension so that I can turn at slow speed when I approach the plane.

I thought so turning on floats I understand is tricky without a water rudder.

Its actually not bad with the prop blast hitting the big rudder but to manouver at slow speed to approach a target its better to have direct water contact.
