I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for motor , ESC and battery to set up for the Multiplex Fun Jet Ultra, and also the best place to order the electronics, are the Nano Tech batteries good enough?.. I hope Richard can also give his advice on this.
I noticed multiplex does not sell the power set for this any more
Thanks, Paul

Thunderboltrc is located in Windsor, Ontario, so shipping is a non event. We used this setup for many flights last season, good for about 200km/h. Flight time with a 3s 3300 mah is approximately 3 minutes, so set the timer on your transmitter. Use Nanotechs with the highest C-rating available (65C). A Funjet Ultra requires a specific launch technique, so have someone with experience launch it for you, otherwise the plane will be short-lived. Launch with this setup should be a healthy toss at a 40 degree angle and with 70%-80% throttle. The plane will torque roll on takeoff, sometimes more than other times! Set your control throws exactly as recommended by the Multiplex manual which calls for negative differential. Get used to flying at 200 km/h and then if you want more, the fastest electric funjets are close to 320km/h (Something you shouldn't undertake unless you are confident with your ability to fly at those speeds, reflex and eyesight play a big role). Landing approach is a non-event, the plane glides exceedingly well with proper CG. Assemble the entire airframe with medium regular CA (not foam safe!). Make sure to triple check your control horns, eliminate all play to avoid flutter. Inspect your elevon live hinges everytime you land. Have fun and be safe! :)
