Radian Pro DX8 setup - YouTube
Switch setup:
All inhibited except Aux2 switch turns on Aux3
Knob set up for flap trim
Mixes:
Mix1: Knob to LAL (ailerons moving together) Provides crow, and is set up to only add crow after more flap is added with the knob.
Mix2 and Mix 4: Mixes throttle to LAL (ailerons moving together). These two mixes are there so that the flight mode switch applies camber and reflex to the ailerons. It's mixed to the throttle, because you can't for some reason mix it to the flight mode switch position. The throttle is expected to be at the bottom whenever you want to use this control. The top half of the throttle throw has negative rate so that when you move the stick up from the bottom (where this mix is supposed to work), the flap goes back to the original position when at full throttle. There is some subtle motion as you move the throttle stick, and you could get rid of it by mixing to Aux 3 instead of throttle. But then the Aux 3 receiver output would become unusable, and that won't work for what I want to do with this plane later.
Mix3: Ailerons to LFL (flaps moving opposite each other). Provides full-span ailerons.
Mix 5 and 6: Mixes throttle to the flaps to provide camber and reflex, similarly to what mixes 2 and 4 do for the ailerons.
To make mixes 2, 4, 5, and 6 work to get camber, reflex, and crow, you start with the flaps and ailerons trimmed to the reflex position when no mix is applied. Then mixes 2 and 5 apply downward motion to the flaps and ailerons to bring them back to the normal cruise position when the FM switch is in position FM1 or FM2. Then mixes 4 and 6 add more downward motion to the flaps and ailerons when the FM switch is in the FM2 position, to provide camber.
