I've been in Hong Kong for nearly two weeks now, and the many hobby shops in Kowloon are all for buggies, no planes. What a drag. Not surprising, for the place is either water, mountains or tall buildings. You can't fly much here unless of course you're 100 tons or so.
Even Hobby King is in a drab non descript high rise with no displays, just a counter to pick up your order if you so wished it. Surprising since so much of our hobby stuff comes through this special administration region of China.
So don't bother with R/C shopping when you are here. Even the cities nearby in mainland China, I am told, don't have display areas - they're just the manufacturing houses and don't cater to walk in customers.
