Hey All,
I just recieved a soldering Jig from Vigilante RC http://www.vigilante-rc.com/ I ordered it last week and recieved it in the mail after about 7 business days.
I have to say that this Jig was going to be my last attempt at soldering Deans connectors without feeling like I just did brain surgery. If this wasn't going to work for me I planned to move on and use XT-60 connectors.
Mind you, I haven't put it to the test yet, but my first impressions are excellent. The quality of the materials and design seem to be higher than I expected for a 20$ piece of plastic. The Jig is made of a hard plastic (like Plexiglass or Lexan) and it's cut professionally. All the pieces have a snug fit, and its definately rugged enough to handle large wire guages.
I'll get around to using it and I'll post some pictures.
Cheers,
Dan
