Hi all,
I retired over a year ago, at which time I took up an old hobby of building plastic models. Unfortunately, my suppy store also had a RealFlight6 simulater as well as a stock of planes--and before I knew it (well, it took a little longer than that) I had entered into the hobby as a rank beginner. During this period I realized that I not only had an interest in flying, but also in rc design, construction, field testing--and eventually, crash analysis! (I know it's going to happen.) We shall see where this interest leads.
Anyway, spent two enjoyable afternoons at the field last weekend where I was impressed by the careful attention to flght detail--very professional. Also, a friendly group.
At the moment, I'm building a Skyward 25 glow engine beginners plane as a means of really getting to understand the beast, and hope to beginning flight lessons next month. In the meantime, ground school and simulator practice--and watching the pros at work!
