he guys i posted a thread on sunday about a trainer and u guys said the best is alpha 450 i checked it out and it looks cool but its made out of wood . why not a foam one for someone that only flew on sim ? e flite makes one out off foam i saw michael - mj fly a foamie and it looked great what do you guys think

This is also an excellent trainer: http://www.e-fliterc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFL2900 and is probably a bit more durable and repairable for an absolute beginner.

Ask for your first flight on the club Alpha 450 with an instructor.
But I don't think they do it in winter.
Mean while you should practice on a similator. This will reduce you learning time by 10.
