Hi guys, I would like to experience flying at a frozen lake on of this days .
And because I have no experience walking on ice, I'm open to ear some advices like:
-A god spot in the West island/Vaudreil area.
-Where I can and where I can't flight.
-Things that I have to take on consideration.
-And any other advice that you believe it's important.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I fly GLOW(so it's a little bit noisy)

If you are flying electric, then you wont have much of a problem. Vaudreuil Bay is a good place when the Para skiers are not there. They are there when it is windy. If you are flying gas or nitro, then the noise is a problem and you could be reported by a neigbor, as we have in the past. Dress warm, bring a folding chair, a transmitter mit is a good thing to keep your hands warm. A thermost of hot coffee or soup. If it is a small electric, I have flown down in Pt Clair near the yatch club. that is a good place also for small plane. Do not go alone, have a spotter with you. All in all, lot's of fun and no problem for take of or landings.

Thanks for the advice Bob. :)
But I found that the noise from my plane engine (OS 46) it's not louder than a Snowmobile or a jet ski. Anyways, my plan is not to fly on a residential part of the lake, I'm looking for a less residential area.
I think L'anse the Vaudreil bay(N of the 40 and St Charles) it's maybe a better place.
And of course it will be a good idea to make a group of pilots to go there.
