Hey All,

Last night I braved the storm to pick up a tail boom for my heli at Modeliste. Michel offered to let me take some stuff from his parts bin, just under the consignment goods. He's got a large collection of parts that he's just trying to get rid of. There was nothing there I could really use, but I did spot a large collection of new propellers. I've got more props than I'll ever use but I thought some of the Wimac members may be interested. At 0$ each it seems like a pretty good deal :)

He's got many wood, plastic EP, slow flyer, and even a few really nice triples.
They're all name brand parts. I missed the brand name for the wood props but in plastic EPs I saw APC, GWS, and Graupner. He even has a few Graupner folding props.

Cheers,
Dan

It's hard enough to start a new business but it may be even harder to change the reputation of an existing one. Michel is doing all he can to give a better experience.

I think you should pay him a visit and have a chat with him if you haven't had a chance yet.

Are his hours any better then with the previous owner?... It's harder to get to when a store closes at noon on Saturday and closed on Sunday

Hi Bill I also agree with needing a day off, but by doing so, people will shop elsewhere that is more practical.. I usually go to Ted,s Hobby shop for this reason..and am also a liitle addicted to Great Hobbies in Ottawa.. 1 1/2 hrs from the west island isnt that bad to get to a store that has everything in stock :)

He could close on Mondays and nobody will notice...

I think he is going to have a hard time. Lot's of bad memories from that previous owner. I know I can't go back there for that reason. Hard to believe how he treated his customers, if you mentioned you bought something elsewhere. Hope the guy did not pay a big dollar for the place.

You should go back there Bob, You might change your mind. I'm sure he'll do his best to serve his clients and try to keep them. I would go back if I need something and try to help him out to get going.

cheers
