Hey Everyone
I need help, I want a great! indestructible! hardcore indoor 3D plane for this upcoming indoor season. Oh and the easier to build the better.

So if you have a opinion I want to hear it.

Thanks
Michael

Sorry, but that's not an indoor plane, nor is it hardcore 3D! (Good indoor planes are 4.5 to 5 oz's that plane is 15 oz's !!!!)

The truth is, that the very best indoor 3D planes are made from Depron and not EPP. Depron airframes offer a significant amount of rigidity compared to EPP which allows for crisp and true maneuvers. EPP adds durability, which is where depron falls short. If you want the best, then you must fly depron. If you want durability then EPP fits the bill whilst sacrificing some performance. In competition, globally, the pros fly depron planes. To learn hardcore, stick-banging 3D you need an EPP plane (because you will crash). With the demise of Donuts Models, the righteous airframes come from Fancy Foam, 3DHobbyshop, TopModel and Donatas Pauzuolis, Twisted Hobbies, WMParkflyers, they offer the best available.

It is all about weight (O.K., wing loading). As mentioned in some other threads, if you can get the Clic (http://www.icare-rc.com/click2.htm) it is great. Not so tough, so is probably toast by the end of the season if you are not careful, but great for 3D. My one from last year is dead, but when I get around to buying another plane for indoor, that is what I want. Anyone going out to Icare?

There is a difference between indoor F3P planes (F3P is indoor pattern flying) and indoor 3D planes. The Clik is designed as an indoor F3P plane and as such flies very straight lines with a huge tail moment. The Fenix and MX2 from Fancy Foam are designed as 3D planes, more flickable, shorter tail moment and more aggressive geometry, they have both won world titles! Sure a Clik can Hover/Torque Roll/Rolling Circles and such but not as well as a dedicated 3D plane. If you buy a quality airframe, there is no reason why it shouldn't achieve the weight it was designed for if you follow the instructions correctly and build it with the correct equipment. The videos below show a demonstration of F3P followed by a video of indoor 3D:

P.S. Is there a reason why every club member spells Clik with a c making Clic??? It happens on every thread where the Clik is mentionned??? lol
