I'm off from work today....but....no flying it's the installation of my new electric boiler so a bunch of people expected around 9 ish electricians and plumbers.

It supposed to be nice this long week-end in the tweenties:)...but I have to finish my work outside like closing the pool painting the rod iron of the front balconies that I scraped last W.E. but because of the rain couldn't paint and maybe finish cleaning all the windows...etc etc etc

Have fun you guys.

well all the guys off to lunch so no electricity but a Mac book on batt. and put the Wifi on my car booster's batt so we're connected.

Richard I know that all work an no play makes Kev a dull boy but when I get all the work done (is it ever done:confused:) well I'll have peace of mind to go out and play.

Well unfortunately it's not all finish I'll have to take's off work tomorrow AM also a couple of hours for the Electrician to pass the big cable for the boiler, 2 solid cement walls to go through. Here a few picts. You can see the old one as it was.

1) Closing the pool can be done on a crappy day.
2) Painting can be done on a windy day.
3) Cleaning windows can be done on a windy or crappy day with a raincoat or if it is inside, anytime of the year.

Now what excuses do you have left?

I have a small but urgent problem... I have another DLE-111v2 engine on my Extra 260 and was working to install a Fiji water bottle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiji_Water) in place of my old Dubro tank since (1) I couldn't see what is happening inside - deterioration, tubing mucked up, (2) is unnecessarily heavy, (3) has seams that can split, (4) uses rubber stoppers that deteriorate over time with gasoline. So I had it *almost* set up and I tried to rush it by using my heat gun from a distance to try to dry up the remaining moisture and well, it fudging deformed from the heat... It happened so fast and I didn't feel it was that hot because I had my hand cupping the mouth where I had the air going into so I no longer trust it cause the plastic went all funky...

So I really NEED to find another Fiji bottle of the exact same size by Saturday (well technically Sunday since I will be doing the Thanksgiving thing Saturday). I actually looked far and wide in Quebec for these particular bottles because of their square shape and seamless structure and excellent cap seal (they close up really tight and very hard to strip). The problem is I bought this one last year and I believe I finally discovered it at one of the my local pharmacy stores (Pharmaprix) but I'm not 100% certain and knowing my luck they stopped carrying them by now.

Part two of this problem is that the gasoline stopper was deteriorating over time and the tubing for my vent line must not have been real tygon because it too fell apart as I pulled it off the brass tubing. So I have only a couple of days left to find a Fiji bottle or I need to resort to buying another damn gas stopper from a local hobby store (eek! I literally have not been in one in 3 years) and putting the old tank back in...

Always something in this hobby....................................

Hope you find your bottle Greg and get your first flight of the year ( am I right on this?)

For the excuses I must say they are not it's just that my mind for the past few week has been on work and that's my fault cause I put it off for too long so now I pay the price. So since my mind is not too much on flying I got to take advantage of it.

That sure is a space saver, how many btu's does it put out?
or do you measure by wattage?

Kevin Rochon

It's a 24KW actually I needed a 21 but they make a 20 and a 24.(see pict for inerds) My neighbor put in a 32 KW but that was an overkill + you need bigger cables etc so more $$$.

My installation will cost me over 1k$ less and their installation didn't include a new panel because they had that done already they installed a new meter so a separate line so also extra cost per month. Their Electrician took care of everything$

It's true I did a lot of work myself taking out the old furnace I even sold my old water pump on KIJIJI for 75$.

Well the electrician is finishing this morning, need to pass the big cable through two cement walls in the garage. It's I'd say 2" cable hooked up to a 125amp breaker.

I found them at my Pharmaprix, $2.99/bottle for 1L bottle. Now I just need to drink them...

"FIJI Water, on the other hand, is uncontaminated, uncompromised, and untouched. Preserved and protected by geography and geology, FIJI Water’s aquifer is hundreds of miles away from the nearest industrial center and confined below the earth’s surface. Equatorial winds carry clouds thousands of miles across the open Pacific to Fiji’s Yaqara Valley, where there are no local industries or even farms to compromise our water’s purity. When the water-bearing clouds finally reach Fiji, they’re already holding some of the purest water on the planet."

Enjoy, it traveled all the way from the Fijian Islands! :)

The plastic taste comes from, the bottling of the water 2 years before you drink it. It comes over here by row boat.

You are correct, it was packaged over a year ago. :)

Oh well, the bottle is all cleared up, labels are off and ready to be prepared for my new fuel tank.

Just need to put on a vent line in the top.
