Hi everyone,
Getting ready to start into this Hobie I bought my first plane and it is a RICCS Socata TB-20 Trinidad RTF at a very affordable price of C $184.97.
One weird thing that is happening with the motor (RICCS 2822 Brushless Out-Runner), it's that whenever I go quickly from complete stop to full throttle it could happen to the Rotor to come almost out from the Stator, making friction to each other and eventually stopping. Putting it back to the normal position and it works perfectly again without frictions between magnets. What is consistently happening though, it is that as much throttle I give it, the pulling made by the propeller makes the rotor to move away forward from the stator in proportion to the throttle. If a go from zero to full progressively, chances are that the rotor don't get enough far from the stator to come out from the axe and start to friction and stop.
I just have the feeling this is not normal, and I want to ask to you guys, the experts, If am I wrong or not, and if yes, what are the possible solutions.
Here is video because an image worth thousand words.
