Awesome!

Congratulations to the cameramen! And the pilot of the tow plane for a great work, Gilbert.

Yes, I missed it, I was dead tired!

I propose we create a workshop annex to the shelter for all the Research and Development work. Air conditioned and heated. Electricity. Coffee maker. Fridge for refreshments (ahem!). Champagne glasses for celebratory occasions. A photo gallery of innovators and Hall of Fame.

Perhaps you should consider to trade in your Toyato for this one.
You can park in the Heli Parking Lot:D

Uh-Oh! Was that his new FunJet? Be on the lookout for poison ivy when searching...wear long pants...I managed to get a bad rash while retrieving the remains of my FlyCat. My first experience with poison ivy...not good. Would go help search but I'm stuck at work just like Mick! ;)

Yes David, it was the new one. I learned two things: pilot errors at those speed are not permitted and a GPS would of been very useful.

Leaves of three let it be! I didn't even see it and the rash showed up about 1-1/2 days later.

I had a tremendously great day last Saturday as the welcome was terrific and afforded my Sons and I the chance to fly...albeit on a buddy box. I especially appreciated the time and the fact that those attempting the tow accepted so much of my advise without knowing anything of me...I was in my elements and truly enjoyed the day...thanks to all. I even managed to make a landing (ugly) on the buddy box given my abnormal stick setup (aileron and rudder on opposite sides to mode 2).

Unfortunately guys, despite all your encouragement and efforts on my part I was unable to get my flight changed to allow my attendance of the fun-fly, but my Sons will attend. I suspect the long weekend is the cause. BUT, I will be back mid October with something ready to fly. My Sons will also be seeking flight training in my absense, hopefully they will get their wings. We will join the club; hopefully there is still a family membership??? Finally they are seeing the light.

I have not flown in 2 years but the bug has been bugging me back. Rich and the other fellas certainly helped to encourage me back. This month makes 40 years and 4 months I have my wings after arrival to Canada and 10 years being grounded even after building my first RC in Jamaica...no instructors were available...No servos just rubber pwoered actuators...LOL. Keep it up Rich.

Rich et al, remember cross wind tows are very different as the glider will be airborne earlier and will drift and could take the tow plane with it...be careful and enjoy...see you all in October. I will continue to miss all of it.

Hello Krish,

It was nice to meet you and it seems your boys had great fun that day also.
Yes there is a Family membership available, you can find the forms under the "Club Information" Menu. Here's the Link http://www.wimac.ca/index.php?page=forms
If they Join after the Fun-Fly they will be paid up for the following year, as you know they will need to get their MAAC.

Too bad you couldn't make it to the Fun-Fly,

M. Jenkins

We most definitely had a great time last Saturday, it is unfortunate to hear that you could not extend your stay for the fun-fly. It is always a pleasure to discuss and learn from individuals who truly have a passion for their hobbies! Hope to see you again, and safe travels.
