Just got back from our weekend in Kingston. We went down to visit our
friends Bob and Anne Milne not knowing the IMAA funfly was on. We hit
the perfect day. 103 registered pilots, the biggest ever for Kingston.
Model Airplane News was there taking pics of the event. Jean Chevalier
and his wife Dianne were there also. I saw Dick Murray also. Al Denton
fro Ottaw who use to coe to our MRCC copetitions in the old days. Larry
Shehan, Gerry Pronovost and his wife were there also. The planes were
incredible. That Ptts you see with the smoke and the coloured squares
was 58% with a 3W 200cc. It had 3 receivers. The pilot and builder
Trevor, does not like to see the wires come down from the top wing to
the cabin on bipes, so what he did with the Pitts, he put a receiver and
power pack in the top wing with the two ailoron servos. then in the tail
two more receiver in this hatch that opened up and one receiver works
the left elevator, left bottom ailoron, and rudder. the other receiver
works the right elevator, right bottom ailoron, and throttle. The
finish with monokote was I thought a paint job. I cold not belive it was
done in monokote. This is not an ARF, it is a German kit took him 3
months to build. His flying was a real show. lots of twin engines and
quiet a few electrics, big electrics. That German wing flyer that is
owned by Brian Wattie, was electric. Lot's of people aking Jean
Chevalier about his Ercoupe. Really a show worth your attendance. I
have a feeling it could go bigger next year.
Here are the pictures, hope you enjoy them
