Saturday Labour Day Weekend, Rain Day is Sunday.
We need some help for a number of tasks, see the list below and respond what you would like to do.

I'll take care of security in the pits area and monitor the no fly zone.I'll also pick up the raffle tickets and will purchace garbage bags industrial size.

Raffle selling: I will do it. I only need another one (or I will "volunteer" him!).
We need good customers of Udisco (Abandon all hope...), Distribution, HobbyVille, Great Hobbies for donations. Invite Nick DeBiasse and he will donate.
Ted's already covered by Stephane.
We can also raffle a WIMAC membership for next year.
Somebody could organize some contests: limbo (RichR:D), the most number of landings and takeoffs in 2 minutes, etc.
Be back with some other things....

Tarek, David H(If he's in town), and myself have the speed demo covered. I can organize a spot landing contest or a limbo contest. I think Tarek mentionned that he has the turbine demo covered with his Jetcopter.

I’d like to give a hand, can pick-up some of the pop at Costco, but can only supply one cooler with ice, help-out with the food serve (good cook), and help with the clean-up.

No need to panic- try Bureau en Gros. Get the tickets that come in a double roll- then, when you sell them, you keep one for the draw and the other goes to the buyer.

Well i didn't no so went a head and talked to Peter from Ted's. Peter told me if we buy a 100$ gift certificate he will match it with equal amount. And he will donate thinks to give out at the raffle. He said also that we can post the event in the store.

Do we have a bullhorn? It will be good to explain to the crowd what is going on: turbine heli, funjets, call to eat, guest flying, etc.
Also, we put all the planes in the runway to let the visitors look at them and ask questions.

Put me down for the signage (Pilots Only Beyond This Point), I'll make french/english copies. I confirmed with Tarek today, he will be demo'ing his Turbine heli, so you can confirm him for that.

My FPV took a nose dive from altitude (elevator control horn separated), so not much to demo at present. Skywalker on the way, but I doubt it will have it ready in time.

Sorry I don't want to commit not even sure if I'll be there, just picked up my new electric furnace yesterday got to take out the old one and schedule the electrician plumber etc.
If I'm there then I'll do whatever I can to help.
I am gutted that I am going away for the long weekend so will not be there to help and demonstrate my FPV.
I hope it all goes well and you have a great time.

I didn't have the time for a membership at the club this summer, but could give a hand. I'll probably show up with a few cadets to see the show. If they get fed, then they'll happily check the area for trash every so often.
A couple of suggestions:
Have you considered asking the school for access to an outdoor fawcet if there is one, to get water into coolers? Better than using drinking water.
Also I don't see on your list any provision for a bullhorn or microphone/speaker to make announcements.

The water will be tap water, ie. Labrador water jugs refilled with tap water.
As for a bullhorn, we have a small one, if you have a large one please bring it!

We have a small PA system with a wireless mic in the squadron office. But it needs 110v. If there will be a generator then I can see about that.
What is the expected start/end time for this? 10-5 ?
I really wish I was here to help out but unfortunately I'm leaving for a two weeks vacation until Sept. 9th. Hope you all have an amazing time :)

I don't think we need the PA, the event time is 10:00 - 17:00 Aprox.

NICK DI BIASE from ND HELI will be attending the FUNFLY again this year, he will be setting up his trailer in the Heli Parking lot like last year.
He will be putting on a session on tuning glow engines.

Also RichR (Rich Rambahal) will be organizing a "Spot Landing", who can touch down the two main landing wheels and stay on 3" - 4" Wide Tape running across the runway, the closest wins.

So the "Pilot Only" signs are ready, going to head to the field today or tomorrow to put them up. I have confirmation from at least 6 pilots who would like to compete in the spot landing contest, those who are interested please advise me, thanks! :)

Each pilot has a total of 2 mins, within that time you must takeoff and land as close to the bright strip on the runway as possible. The landing must be a controlled landing, no pancaking or bouncing and such... The spot at which your wheels first touch will be measured to the line and the distance will be your 'score'. The pilot with the shortest distance wins, if more than one pilot touches the tape or are tied, it will move onto a sudden death final. If you land after the strip you are automatically disqualified. Each pilot in the contest is allowed only one attempt, we do not want to occupy the runway for a very long time. The contest should take no more than 30 mins from start to finish. Goodluck to all contestants, and the winner will be awarded a prize! ;)

All others should park on the shoulder of the road.

We should monitor the forecast, is pretty changeable..
Who will be the Big Buba taking the GO/NOGO decision? Around 8 AM?
Hopefully all perishable food is frozen. I will buy the corn the same morning.
