Great song. This one belongs to my friend, Ronald. He runs a small company called Straits Air. Depending on the season and where he is going, he flies with wheels, skis, or floats. Most of his flights are ferrying people between the Labrador Straits and the northern peninsula of Newfoundland- an 11 minute flight of 25 km. He also takes people to remote fishing sites as well as occasional MedEvac flights. I fly my models from his gravel airstrip near L'Anse Amour, Labrador (the smallest town in Labrador, full-time population 6- all of them named Davis. The population could increase to about 15 when a few people with cabins in the area are there. Mick knows the area, having stayed there last summer)

Hey Roberto, listen to the song :-)
Production was stopped in 1967 (3:20 on the video)

My Beaver took off from the water today at the Amidair float fly. Looks good on floats. Just lining up for the second take-off when I noticed the water rudder was up so I bent down to fold it down and....
SPLASH !!!!
I dropped my shiny new Futaba 7CAP into the water.
I took it apart in the car, spread the parts out on the dashboard in the sun. Borrowed a can of compressed air from Paul Grenier (thanks Paul) to help it dry out. Driving home with the air-conditioning on full blast removed the last of the water on the LCD screen. It now works just fine, phew. I award myself the grand title of:
Pratt of the Year
It was still an excellent event, although quite windy for float planes in the afternoon.

Mick, the reason for having a neck strap on the trans when flying off water.
I wash my radio in my lake on a regular bases, forgot it on the dock for 3 days, 2 of those days were raining.
