Hi All!

I visited the last static day at Ted's Hobby Shop and was very intrigued by all the aircraft there. I also found out about tomorrow's planned hands-on event.

Are there any alternate plans for tomorrow in case of rain? Will it be on "rain or shine", or cancelled or postponed in case of rain?

OK I might have been mistaken :/ I distinctly remember being told at The Ted's Hobby Shop event earlier this month that there would be another demo on Saturday May 28 when beginners/non-members could visit the field and try their hand at flying some of the aircraft ... The person explained to me that there would be two sets of remote controls, one by an instructor and the other by the beginner, and they would be able to control the aircraft "in parallel"?

I'm trying to remember who it was that told me this, I think I remember it was either the owner of the giant A380 or the person who built a 4 or 6-bladed minicopter that can accomodate a camera-mount ...

Precipitation for March/April/May 2010 was 65, 89 and 38 mm for a total of 190mm.

For same months in 2011 we received 128, 134 and 115mm for a total of 377mm, twice as much as last year.

Average for the three months is 227mm.

So.....

That compares to a total of 20mm for the whole of March and April for where I live in the UK. It has been a dry spring there with only 20% of the normal rainfall.

Is summer going to start soon?

Summer? What's that?
Do you know that we say that Canada has two seasons? Winter and the month of July!

Postponed to June 4th due to unfavorable weather conditions.

re- two seasons. In Labrador City, there is a hotel called the Two Seasons. The hotel claims winter and summer but any local will tell you the seasons are winter and blackflies.

Brian, how close to Labrador City are you? I was there in February on business, stayed one night at the Carol Inn and had dinner another time at the Two Season Hotel restaurant. We stayed the rest of the time in Quebec at the Hotel Fermont. Definitely learnt a whole new definition of COLD! If I end up going again maybe we can get together?

While I am accasionally in Lab City, I am 12 hours of mostly dirt road from Lab City in the Southeast corner of Labrador very close to Blanc Sablon, the easternmost part of Quebec. Being close to the ocean, the weather here is much more temperate (cooler summer, warmer winter) than LC.
