Field day, April 30th 2011

Avec le printemps vient le besoin de faire un peu de ménage au terrain WIMAC. Les gros travaux ont été donnés à contrat mais n'ayez crainte, il en reste à faire si nous voulons être fiers de nos installations.

Le plus gros à faire est de remplacer la toile sous l'abri après avoir étendu du gravier pour relever le sol.

Ensuite, c'est du ménage, un peu de peinture et des réparations aux tables et estrades.

Prévoir des gants, pelles et râteaux ainsi qu'au moins deux brouettes.

Avec un peu de chance et beaucoup de membres, l'après-midi devrait être consacré à profiter de nos travaux, c-à-d voler.

Field Day Samedi le 30 avril / Saturday April 30th

Spring is here and Field day is on. The following contracts have been issued and are not part of Field day.

A: Spreading gravel on road and digging of trench for french drain near NW pit area. Hopefully done before field day so we can fill it up.

B; Rolling grass around tarmac and enlarging grassed area of heli landing pad.

For field day the main item will be fixing up the shelter and other embellishements. Bring gloves, rakes and at least two wheelbarrows.

Also a few screwdrivers will be needed.

If everything goes as hoped flying should be on the menu after lunchtime.

We have to clean up the club any way. we just need to remouve the plastic, code the wood use for wintering the shelter's and rolle the grass and clean the club:)I will be there rain or not:cool:

J'ai entendu dire que quelqu'un avait un outil fais maison qui peut compacter:o, mais si tu préfaire louer une compacteur , celà serait moin compliqué. Si ons commence les traveaux à 10am, le temp que l'ons remplis le manque de gravel dans le shelter à coup de brouette et que l'ons étend le tous avec un ratteau, c'a serais parfait apres de compacter:cool:

Aren't we going to roll the grass on the far side of the runway?
Then we don't need a compactor, just use the roller for the grass, the runway and wherever we put new gravel.

Is there a volunteer with an open truck to pick one up for the day ?

Alberto, the grass is to be rolled by the grass cutter with a rather large piece of equipment and I'm not sure when he'll be doing it.

Stephane can you bring your Pickup:). I will rent the comp at tri-tool on my C.C (price and the dépo) but you will have to carry it in the Pickup:cool:

We can use one of the Heli table for step ladder. If Stephane:) cant get is Pickup for this days, maybe Tarek:) could carry the compator in is F150.

Hey Stéphane, Tri Tool est a St-Lazard, un peux loin??? Il y a un Loca Pro a 5 min. du club sur le boul. guoin et St-Jean. J'ai déjà loué la plaque vibrante de la, aussi j'ai mon trailler je peux aller avec Richard. Laisser moi savoir je peu appeler pour réserver.

Merci Michel, celà veux dire qu'il faut ramener le compacteur avant 2:45. Ons n'a que 3:30 pour l'utiliser,moin le diner:cool:

Pour tuer les mauvaises herbes sur la piste on utilise du gros sel. Si vous avez des restes de l'hiver à passer, c'est le temps.

Ronald, un mélange de 6% acid acetic "vinaigre pure" et de l'eau est la formule echologique qu'on achette au CT pour les mauvaises herbes dans le pave unis. Je peux préparer un 5 gal. a la shop.

Just to remind you guy's then we have around 4h or less of work to do before expecting to fly. That's for the security of all the bénévol:) for this special day's. The worst job to do is fulling the shelter's ground with a humain weelbarow chaine and digger. we need 8" of gravel in to be compact at 6" later:cool:

This was one of the best field day's. the job as be done with a lot of bénévol for help. A special thank's to Michael J:) for the food and to Stephane P :)for the carry it in and out and for the use of the compactor:cool:a big thank's from the club member's who cant be there
