HI
Would like to know the opinions of running helifuel in planes. I am planing to run helifuel with 20% nitro in a Saito 82 four stroke engine, what is the opinion on that?
Regards Pete

Saito's love extra nitro and it's fine as long as the oil content is up there, around 20%.
You will most likely have to adjust your needle valve.

Thanks Ronald. Yes oil content is way up there at 20%. I used to fly my helifuel in my Saito 72 I just wanted to hear some opinions.

Hi Pete,
Here's a copy and paste from my Saito 120 Manual:
1. Fuel. For maximum protection
and longevity of their engines, Saito
recommends a fuel containing 20%
oil and 10–15% nitro methane. If this
blend is not readily available, the
next best selection is a high quality
2-cycle glow fuel, such as Hangar 9®
Aero-Blend, Omega, Cool Power,
K&B, Power Master, etc. Use of fuels
composed entirely of castor oil is not
recommended. A mix of syntheticcastor
oil is acceptable and can be
found in the various fuels described
above.
