Look, when you wear them to fly, you have to think where you are going to fly. The best place is on a lake with the ice not too thick, but thick enough to hold you. If the boots take on fire, then the fire will melt the ice, and the fire will be put out by the water. By keeping you feet apart, you wont go through the ice, only as far as your crocth, as the ice between your feet will not melt and that is what is going to stop you from going down all the way.
Now, don't you wish you were my age, and retired so that you could think of things like this.
