First one is fine Pat.
The second only takes advantage of faster radios like the DX7 SE.

In either case, speed is not of the essence at this stage of your skills , heck not even my skills at this point..lol.

However......if they are the same price (I don't know) then get the second. You can always take advantage later in life unless you crash it first..opps.lol.

Let me know if you have any other issues with the build as I would like to compare notes with you. Firstly I hate the way the three wires exit out of the motor as they are squeezed between the motor, the motor mount and the side wall of the carbon frame. The likelyhood of an insulation puncture could be a problem so I filed off the sharp corners of the rear edge of the motor mount (silver) and doubled the heat shrink insulation to reduce the risk. Also in the plans of the assembly instructions it recommends that you file the top edge of the carbon to prevent servo lead damage. There is no need as you can run the servo leads inside the side walls (each side) and as they are both cyclic servos you can choose as an option which is pitch and which is aileron and pass them down the inside and there are cable tie holes provided to secure them before passing them down past the torque tube drive vertically (inside again) directly above the place for the receiver. I have also used cable protector (plastic woven - available at Nicks or via Rotorquest at 3$ a metre in various colours) for additional safety and neatness. Finally isnt the canopy a bastard to apply and remove!
