It's that time again. The Amidair float fly is this next week Saturday June 19th (Sunday is rain day) in Laval. It's a nice place for float flying. I'll be there with my Beaver and my trainer, both electrics.

Great pictures Bob, thanks.
It was a good day for flying and messing about in the water with reasonable representation from WIMAC members past and present: Bob, Xavier, Paul and I. My E-Flite Beaver 25e flew nicely, Bob captured probably my best landing of the day, well done. Bob flew his large Cub with great presence in the air and easy water handling. Paul displayed precision scale like flying with his TRex 500 on floats with a camera. Xavier had two aircraft: a Beaver and a trainer and after a minor mishap with each ended up flying the trainer with the Beaver floats which worked superbly. When is the next outing on the water?

Great pictures Paul and Bob. Thanks.
It was a nice day indeed. To bad not more people comes to this event. It is a lot of fun to fly over water and specially doing touch and goes. You need good floats, properly secure and that's it. The easiest I found is to use a trainer. It flies slow and it behave nicely. Scale planes are nice but usually less forgiving.

For my part,
it was my second time at that FLY-IN beach event.
I was waiting on that one this year that's for shure.
Even if the LAMA SA-315B SAR CCG stayed on her helipad platform tower
on the beach all day, I was very happy that the day was a pure succes
for us that was at that event yesterday. Sharing, laughting, jocking all together. A pure enjoying event that should be more consider by flying club members from all clubs.
Bob,
I'm glade you enjoy the photoshoot in action of your Oldy Piper CUB
that flew like a charm in circuit routine procedures. Anytime Uncle Bob ...
Maybe next year i will be able to do foward flight with my LAMA and
maybe, just maybe I'll be in next year with some float on it like my
CFI Paul that as one pair on his 500 ... It should be easy to acheive that by next year I guess.
Would be cool to have a SAR CCG LAMA SA-315B patroling the beach at that event by next year ... lol ...
Again,
thanks to the man that as made this event all possible for us to enjoy
on such a great summer week-end day ...
