In cockpit view you can see his chest pumping so I guess his heart beat must of been going strong.
It shows clearly that an airplane can stall at any speed.

A buddy of mine was on-site and saw it "live"... quite something! Clearly an incredible pilot that recovered perfectly from the stall, if he'd overcompensated even just one bit on the ailerons he would have cartwheeled in the river... at that speed that would not have been good at all...
