Some of you at WIMAC knew him.
Hal Bonsor
BONSOR, Hal On November 10, 2009, Hal Bonsor, at the age of sixty-nine, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He is survived by his devoted wife Linda, his daughters Dawn (Randal), Della (Adrian), his son Marc (Beverley) and six grandchildren, Kelsey, James, Hannah, Kayleigh, Ethan and Sophie. He will also be sadly missed by his sister Dianne (Pat), mother-in-law Maria DeSimone, sisters and brothers-in-law, as well as nieces and nephews. He now joins his parents Cyril Bonsor and Ruth Vine and brother Bram. He was passionate about flying his many remote control planes and was a proud member of the MRCC where he will be fondly remembered. There are no words to describe our gratitude for giving us such a great life. We are who we are because of him. Love you always, Linda, Dawn, Della and Marc. Service will be held at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, on Saturday, November 14. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. followed by a service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.

My sincere condolences to the famely.
I have been flying remote control model planes with Hal for many years and enjoyed every day spent with him at our MRCC club. He always knew how to make me laugh even when I was down.
It will not be the same for me flying without him.
He was a good man, very strong will and still is in my hearth, I will miss him so very much and will always have a special flight for him.

Hal was also a WIMAC member years ago.
He always had ways to make us laugh :D

I also will miss him greatly. I always looked forwarad to seeing Hal early in the morning at the field. Many days were spent with Hal, talking about our grand kids, our planes, our crashes, but always somehow with humour. He was a great guy to be with.

I will miss you Buddy HAL ...

It hit me hard ,,, to hard ...

Alote of memories comes from this summer with HAL at this moment and I can only say thank you to have been such a great friend at the field. You alway's had the right words for me,,, and with such a great humour that all my little fears were faithing away.

I have just had to go outside while in tears to breath.

While I was out this morning,,, a crow bird came over my head on the top tree branch. I felt it,,, it was HAL for me while in tears under that tree. I talk to his spirit crow over me and have thank him for the great time I had with him. I also ask him to help me letting him go to his new life.

The crow bird did Wap,wap, wap,,, like he understand my saying to him.
I then saw 4 other crow birds coming my way to that tree,,, like it was his buddies. They all landed on that same tree, and did wap at all and no words said. All was silence and the 4 crow birds left,,, but that remain crow spirit of HAL stayed with me ... And just moving his head up and down like if HAL was saying you'll be alright ...

The I thank him to have stop by my place to say a last good bye to me.
I told him to have a good life now,,, with no more health issues and to help us all get over this sad time.

The crow bird then WAP, WAP 2 times and left the tree,,, like he was saying good bye to me... and made me feel I would be alright ...

Sorry,,, I am in tears,,,,

For my part,,, I know it was HAL spirit,,, can't explain
this,,, but I was asking for his help going true this,,, and as soon as I did ask him that,,, the crow bird came to my tree that i was laying down lower under.

Have a great life HAL ,,, where ever you are.
You did answer me this morning,,, and I will never forget you for that gester towards me today. Never ...

Yes he was and at 69 he was flying better and better and he had just recently got himself a 450 size heli to start flying helis sometime in his backyard, I had set it up for him last week so he could take it to Florida for the winter.
He started flying at WIMAC and then went over to MRCC since he lived in that area.
He was an amazing builder always working on a new impressive project.
The Piper Arrow was his latest project.
He was already looking into his next one that would have been his favorite the deHaviland Dash-8.

Thanks for posting Bob. I didn't know him, but the last name sounded familiar and it turns out that my wife was friends with one of his daughters. She will go by the funeral home for the visitation tomorrow. It is a small world.

I first met Hal at Wimac an then flew a couple of years at MRCC. He was a gentlemen. I remember long conversations early in the morning about our dearest subject "life". He was the kind of person to spend a day with.He was a gentle giant.

Our sincere condolences to his family.

To the family. I did not know him well. I remember him hanging out with Todd and a few others that joined MRCC. He appeared a kind and energetic modeler.
He will be missed.
